EP's 10 Way to Celebrate National Dog Week

1- Visit the Doggie Beach! Manasquan Inlet Beach
Manasquan Inlet - Third Ave Dogs are allowed off-leash on this beach! To get there, take Main St in Manasquan, over the bridge to Third Ave. Make a right, go all the way to the end and the beach is on the right hand side.

2- Create a Homemade Frozen Treat
Add your pup’s favorite treat to some fat free yogurt (peanut butter, bananas, carrots, etc), stir, pour into ice cube trays, freeze and watch your dog enjoy this healthy, homemade delicacy!

3- Go for a Hike
Take your dog down your favorite trail at Riverside Park (off Whitesville Rd. in Toms River), Winding River Park (off Route 37 in Toms River), or any other secret hiking spot you like.

4- Give Them a Bath…and LEAVE THE MESS BEHIND
Check out Rub-A-Dub Dog Wash on Route 37 in Toms River. You bring your canine in, use their tubs, shampoos, towels, etc. and then leave the mess for them to clean! How much fun is that……for you, at least?! http://www.rubadubdogs.com/index.html

5- Watch Animal Planet with Your Canine
Relax on the couch and watch your favorite episode of Emergency Vets.

6- Call Your Pet Sitters!
Let us come play and pamper your pooch while you are at work, at the movies, or just out. You’re four-legged friend will thank you! :-)

7- Play Hide N Go Seek
Put your dog away for a few minutes while you hide food under the couch, table, in a doorway, etc. Bring your dog in the room and hang back and watch the fun unfold as Fido runs around the house finding all the hidden treats while you encourage them along.

8- Visit Your Local Ice Cream Shop
They enjoy fat-free vanilla ice cream just as much as we do!

9- Go for a Stroll on the Boardwalk
Find a local, pet friendly boardwalk and enjoy a relax stroll. Just make sure you pick up after you pet!

10- Soccer, Anyone?

Grab and ball and start kicking it around the backyard. Fluffy is bound to challenge your fancy foot work and show you how it’s done!

How are you going to celebrate with your favorite pooch?
